Industrial Application of Structural Dynamics – AWE

Presented by Dr Phil Daborn and Dr Phil Ind of AWE, this webinar will explain how structural dynamics can be used to solve industrial problems, with case study examples at the company. This is done through a careful balance of Finite Element Analysis and physical testing and case studies are presented, including how the model of an Armoured Fighting Vehicle is drastically improved through a model validation exercise, utilising; modal testing, modal analysis, test-analysis correlation and model updating. The consequences of such an activity can be significant – lives can depend on the prediction of a model.
